We are excited to announce the Spring 2026 release of Companion Tracker, packed with features designed to save you time and keep your program running smoothly. This release focuses on three key themes: real-time compliance visibility, faster data access, and a better mobile experience.

Compliance Dashboard

The new Compliance Dashboard gives program directors an at-a-glance view of their program's audit readiness. Instead of running multiple reports and cross-referencing spreadsheets, you can now see your compliance status in real time from a single screen.

What You Will See

The dashboard displays key compliance indicators including volunteer file completeness rates, pending timesheet approvals, overdue documentation, and upcoming deadlines. Each metric is color-coded — green for on track, yellow for needs attention, and red for urgent action required.

Drill-Down Capability

Click on any metric to drill down into the details. For example, clicking on the volunteer file completeness rate shows you exactly which files are missing which documents, so you can take targeted action immediately.

Customizable Alerts

Set up custom alert thresholds based on your program's needs. Want to be notified when timesheet approval rates drop below 90 percent? Or when any volunteer file has been incomplete for more than 30 days? Configure alerts that match your workflow and never miss a compliance issue again.

Bulk Data Exports

Responding to data requests from grantors, auditors, or internal stakeholders just got much faster. The new bulk export feature lets you export large datasets in seconds rather than generating multiple individual reports.

Export Formats

Choose from CSV, Excel, or PDF formats depending on your needs. CSV exports are ideal for data analysis, Excel exports include formatting and formulas, and PDF exports are ready for presentation or filing.

Saved Export Templates

Create and save export templates for reports you run regularly. Once you have configured a template with the right date ranges, filters, and columns, running that same export next month takes just one click.

Scheduled Exports

Set up recurring exports that run automatically and are delivered to your inbox. Monthly hour summaries, quarterly compliance reports, or weekly activity digests — schedule them once and forget about them.

Enhanced Reporting Filters

Our reporting engine now supports more powerful filtering options that let you slice and dice your data in new ways.

Multi-Dimension Filtering

Apply filters across multiple dimensions simultaneously. For example, filter volunteer hours by date range, activity type, and geographic region all at once. Previously, you would have needed to run separate reports and combine them manually.

Saved Filter Sets

Save your most-used filter combinations as presets. Switch between different views of your data with a single click instead of reconfiguring filters each time.

Mobile App Improvements

Volunteers and field staff who use the Companion Tracker mobile app will notice several quality-of-life improvements in this release.

Offline Mode Enhancements

The app now queues up to 30 days of offline entries and syncs them intelligently when connectivity is restored. Previously, the offline buffer was limited to 7 days. This improvement is especially valuable for volunteers serving in rural areas with spotty internet access.

Faster Check-In

The check-in flow has been streamlined from three taps to one. Volunteers can now start a service visit directly from the home screen without navigating through menus. For returning visits to the same client, a quick-start button appears automatically.

Photo Documentation

Volunteers can now attach photos to their service visit logs. This is useful for documenting activities like home modifications, garden work, or community events where visual evidence supplements written notes.

Getting Started

All features in this release are available immediately for existing Companion Tracker customers at no additional cost. The compliance dashboard and bulk exports are accessible from the main navigation menu. Mobile app updates will be pushed automatically through your device's app store.
